Turn Oklahoma and Alaska Blue

Over just the past 48 hours, our PAC for a Change community has already raised nearly $20,000 for Andrew Rice in Oklahoma and Mark Begich in Alaska. Both Andrew and Mark are outstanding Democratic candidates for the U.S. Senate, and I'm thrilled that we've been able to support them as they enter these final weeks leading up to Election Day.

But I know we can do even better.

Andrew Rice's opponent, Republican Senator Jim Inhofe, believes that global warming is the "the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people." As a result, Senator Inhofe has roadblocked every piece of legislation I have fought for to reduce the dangerous greenhouse gases that threaten our planet, delaying us from taking strong action to fight climate change.

Mark Begich's opponent, Republican Senator Ted Stevens, has voted in lockstep with President Bush time and again on his failed right-wing policies, mismanaging the war in Iraq and failing our struggling economy. Alaskans deserve better, and together we can make sure Mark Begich will represent them starting next year in the U.S. Senate.

Both Andrew and Mark are tremendous candidates -- but they're being outraised by their opponents, and it's up to us to make sure they have the resources to fight back.
